First steps in the pharmacy business
At the first thoughts arising about one’s own business, the determination with its direction does not happen immediately. It’s good if there is an area in which a real professional who wants to become a businessman. If there is no such area, you should choose what the profit will not just be, but will be partially constant. This may be the pharmacy business, because, so as not to happen on planet Earth, people will not stop sick. If you do not count how much it will take to rent the premises, then for the opening of a pharmacy you may need between forty-five to fifty thousand US dollars. If the location of the pharmacy is properly lively, if highly qualified pharmacists work in it, if the distribution conditions are profitable, the profit will be guaranteed in six months. Four years do not have time to end, if necessary, a ready-made and fully working pharmacy can “go” to the new owner for several hundred thousand of the same American dollars. But all this is possible provided that the business is started correctly.
The basics of the pharmacy business
It should be decided which pharmacy will be in the sense of a business model. Will it be a premium pharmacy or discounter. The costs of the launch follow from this. A premium pharmacy will require costs from eight hundred and fifty to a thousand dollars per meter. And this is without directly placing and processing all the papers. And the discounter will need no more than three hundred and fifty – four hundred dollars per meter. The difference is huge. Next, we determine the form of trade, open or closed. The first option is more expensive. Cost reduction here can be achieved no more than three hundred dollars per meter. There is also a difference in area. A closed pharmacy will require less than fifty squares. And for the open – this is only the very minimum. The open form is also the purchase of equipment for the hall. Moreover, he should have not only quality, but also durability. Let’s dream: about five hundred customers visit a pharmacy every day. Poor-quality equipment will not withstand such an influx and will fall apart before our eyes.
The success of any pharmacy is a tight control over the drug volumes. What diverges quickly and what is not. Which stocks should be replenished, and which, on the contrary, are more likely to be sold. The problem with any pharmacy is the range. This is where the success of this business lies. If, upon arriving at the store, the visitor does not find a roasted milk pig, he will not be very upset. Yes, and customers with such requests – one for several years. Suddenly, the store ran out of bread – this is a problem. Same thing with the pharmacy. The absence of a rare expensive remedy can be experienced, but paracetamol is unlikely. It remains to solve another problem – a good location – and you can congratulate yourself on your business.
